John W. Parrish

John W. Parrish, executive vice president emeritus of Oklahoma Baptist University, retired from OBU after 38 years of service. He held a variety of positions at OBU including journalism faculty member, public relations director, assistant vice president for development and alumni director, and vice president for institutional advancement. As executive vice president, he served as chief financial officer and chief advancement officer. He has served as president of the Shawnee Lions Club and chairman of the board of directors of the Shawnee Economic Development Foundation. He is author of The Glory Years of Bison Basketball, and he is the radio-internet play-by-play broadcaster for OBU Bison basketball.
