Larry B. Williams

Larry B. Williams became president of Northeastern State University at Tahlequah in 1997, following a ten-year presidency at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. An Oklahoman, he received an M.B.A. from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Ph. D. at the University of Oklahoma. His leadership at Southeastern helped that institution recover from damaging financial and management problems. At NSU, he aggressively pursued the establishment of a $55 million branch campus in Broken Arrow, including a new $10 million Science Center. A respected veteran in the State System, Williams was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2005.
