Charles B. Browning

Charles B. Browning was Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University for seventeen years before his retirement in 1996. In addition, he served as Director of the Agricultural Extension as well as the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. During his tenure at OSU, twelve endowed professorships and chairs were created, and many new facilities were added, including the Noble Research Center for Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resources, the OSU Animal Science Arena and teaching facilities, and the Food and Agricultural Products Technology Research Center. Browning was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 1997.
